Gabriela Aguilera

Director and Founder, DMASI. 

Degree in Industrial Design, University of Guadalajara. Goldman Sachs / ITESM Business Diploma, in 2013 she awarded a scholarship by Goldman Sachs with its 10,000 Women program, a global initiative that fosters economic growth in countries by providing women entrepreneurs around the world with an education in management, business, mentoring, networking and access to capital. In 2014 co- founded 10000 Mujeres Unidas por México, a national association that promotes businesswomen and entrepreneurs with the goal of growing the country’s economy. She is currently president of the Nuevo León Chapter. She is the creator and director of the 10mil Business Leaders Diploma. Her career in design has led her to work for Mexican companies where she developed especially in the design and manufacture of tooling and consumer products, in companies such as Urrea, Stamp Rojo, Metalsa, among others. This experience led her to coordinate projects in a North American company located in Chicago Illinois, dedicated to the design and manufacture of pharmaceutical equipment. Entrepreneur with a company established with more than 10 years of maturity and with more than 20 years of professional experience, she has founded several companies, including DMASI, Product Design plus Manufacturing Engineering, focused on providing service to the industry in the creation of new products, as well as design, engineering and manufacture of tools for the automotive and household appliances industry. She is part of the Advisory Council of the Mechatronics Engineering career of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. She is an active member of the Tooling Cluster where she chairs the Positioning and Marketing Committee, with the commitment to promote and strengthen the National Tooling Industry.

Enrique Espino Barros Lozano

Founder and Chief Transformation Officer of NOBA CONSULTING LATIN AMERICA, and Advisor and Business Coach of various companies and organizations. 

Administrative Chemical Engineer and Master in Administration from ITESM and the University of Wisconsin, with training in various IPADE programs. With more than 35 years of experience in industrial companies, Cydsa, Tubacero, Deacero, Industrias Monterrey, Valspar, at a Management and Executive level. Director of the Monterrey Competitiveness Center for 14 years, having carried out more than 13,000 projects to improve productivity and competitiveness, mainly in SMEs. Co-founder of the Mexico Competitiveness Center, which he directed for its first 4 years. Specialist in TPS, continuous improvement, productivity, innovation, business acceleration and mentor for entrepreneurs, having supported more than 130 launches in the first 4 years of the Startup Factory initiative. Certified trainer in Situational Leadership and High-Performance Team Building by Ken Blanchard Companies, and specialist in Socio-Technical Systems design by UCLA. Co-organizer of the first Lean Summit held in Mexico in alliance with the Lean Enterprise Institute, and organizer of 13 Meetings of Lean Organizations to disseminate the philosophy, principles, implementation and results of the TPS, as well as success stories. Organizer of 7 Technological Innovation Meetings to promote innovation and technological development as a competitive advantage in companies, and 8 Value Chain Articulation Meetings to share knowledge and success stories in supplier development. 

Zelina Fernández

Zelina holds a degree in International Relations with a major in International Trade from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. She has taken several courses, diplomas and certifications in Project Management, Business Management, Business Models, Foreign Investment, Market Intelligence, among others. She has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector. During her career in public administration, she has been involved in the development of public policies, investment attraction strategies, foreign trade, energy, supply chain development, and attention to the industry established in the states of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila and Tamaulipas. She has participated in different trade missions in Asia, Europe, Canada and the United States, as well as international and national trade fairs in the automotive, metal-mechanic, energy, aerospace, petroleum and manufacturing sectors. In the private sector she has held positions in International Purchasing, Logistics and Customs in corporations such as General Electric in the Consumer & Industrial division and Carlisle Motion Control Industries.

Erick Alejandro González Cortez

NA Manager Digitization and Continuous Improvement 

Engineer in Electronics and Automation from the UANL and Master’s Degree in Science and Technology Marketing from the UT and CIMAV. He has more than 15 years of experience in the development of technological and innovation projects in manufacturing, automotive, metalworking, food industries, among others, focused on the optimization of production processes. Specializes in issues of digital transformation and Industry 4.0, which has led him to collaborate on projects with companies on a global level. 

David Luna

He has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, México, has postgraduate studies in Senior Management from IPADE and a diploma in Journalism and Innovation from Stanford University. Mexican journalist specialized in industrial media. He has developed content for various platforms in print and digital media and technical seminars, such as the Auto Parts Manufacturing Symposium and Exhibition. He has more than 25 years of experience in B2B media for the industrial manufacturing sector. 

Leticia I Martínez Carrillo

Manuel Montoya Ortega

President of the National Network of Automotive Industry Clusters, General Director of the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo León, and Founding Partner of ENE Business Structures.

With more than thirty years of international experience in the areas of Strategic Planning and Development of Business Plans; as well as in the Creation, Development and Structure of Clusters in various sectors and regions of the country. He holds a Doctorate in Administration from the Autonomous University of Querétaro, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Institute of Higher Business Studies – IESE, Barcelona, Spain and a Chemical Engineer Administrator from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies, Monterrey Campus. He also has specialization in: DI Business Management from the Pan-American Institute of Senior Business Management (IPADE), International Management from the Richard Ivey School of Business, London, Ontario, Canada and Total Quality Management Program, at Tata Research Center, Pune, India. Previously, he has collaborated in management positions for various companies and organizations in Mexico and abroad, among which are: Inmobiliaria Seival (Project Director and General Director), Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas IPADE (Director of Senior Management Programs), Ficosa International and Tata Ficosa Private Limited (Technical Vice President and Board member in Pune, India). Throughout his career, he has actively contributed as a counselor for various associations and institutions. Carlos G. Mortera

International Director in Latin America, AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology.

Graduated from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, with a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. He continued his Master’s studies in Business Administration and Manufacturing Systems at the same institution. His experience in the industrial sector includes his work at Emerson Electric, where he held various positions in industrial engineering, international trade, finance, human resources and materials in North America. He also worked at Cummins Inc., where he was responsible for several areas, such as Acquisition, Information Technology (IT), Operations, Engineering and General Management for its businesses in Brazil and Mexico. His experience also includes his work as Administrative Vice President of an Asian sanitary equipment company and as a director of a multinational manufacturer and marketer of cooling towers in America. He lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for 4 years, serving as General Director of the Brazilian Filtration and Emissions business units, traveling throughout South America. He joined AMT in 2002, is fluent in 3 languages and has extensive experience with operations large and small, acquired or established from scratch. 

Laura Peña Parás

Professor – Researcher, Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Universidad de Monterrey.

She works since 2010 as Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering at the Universidad de Monterrey and has professional experience as Materials Engineer at Jacobs Engineering from 2008-2010. Her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Management were done at the Universidad de Monterrey. She obtained her PhD in Materials Science from Rice University in Houston, Texas. She is a National Researcher Level I by the National System of Researchers of CONAHCYT. In recognition of the development of a project that applies nanotechnology to lubricants to reduce wear in industrial machinery, MIT Technology Review distinguished her as one of the “10 best innovators in Mexico” in 2013. She is part of the permanent interactive exhibition “Interdisciplina” at the Papalote Museo del Niño Monterrey. She received the “Pro Magistro Roberto Garza Sada” Award for her outstanding teaching work at UDEM and the UDEM Research Trajectory Award 2018. She received the 2019 Research Award from the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias in the Area of Engineering and Technology. 

Claudia Sofía Rodríguez Argüelles

Marketing and Membership Manager, Association for Advancing Automation México.

Degree in Business Psychology, certified by the University of North Carolina as a manager of positive organizations, with more than 8 years of experience working for different industries, forging new organizational cultures. She has the YELLOW BELT Six Sigma certification with which she has worked on continuous business improvement and with reports have been made focused on executive levels and increasing productivity. She is currently studying a diploma in Marketing and Successful Negotiations at the University of Michigan and representing the most important Automation Association now in Mexico. 

David Romero

Professor – Researcher in Advanced Manufacturing, Tecnológico de Monterrey

He is Scientific Vice-President of the World Manufacturing Foundation. He is a member of Technical Committee 5.3 on Systems Integration and Enterprise Networks of the International Federation of Automation and Control (IFAC), Technical Committees 5.7 on Advanced Production Systems Management and 5.12 on Enterprise Integration Architectures of the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP), and of the Society for Technology and Engineering Management and the Internet of Things Community of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Additionally, he contributes to the agenda of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) “Council for the Future of Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains” and is an Ambassador for the World Manufacturing Forum (WMF). Finally, he serves as a member of different Technical and Scientific Committees of international conferences and specialized journals and of national and foreign academic, industrial and state and federal governmental associations focused on industrial and business engineering.

Leopoldo Ruiz Huerta

Researcher at the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of the UNAM, as well as Founder and Coordinator of the National Laboratory of Additive and Digital Manufacturing. 

It has more than 25 years of experience focused on design and manufacturing issues, which is reflected in a scientific production that includes the publication of peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and publications in international conference congress. He also has technological developments transferred to the industry with commercial exploitation and the distinction of advising companies in the field of R&D. He participates actively in design projects for products and manufacturing systems, mechatronics and micromechanics. His lines of research are related to: 1) the study of the relationship between geometry, material and construction parameters in Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes and their characterization; 2) Design Engineering, Digital Manufacturing and its integration with Industry n.0 and, 3) Development of mechatronic applications with Additive and Digital Manufacturing. He has participated in more than 40 research and/or technological development projects, being responsible for 22 of them. 

Abraham Tijerina

Business Developers Leader, Outreach Strategy, Office of Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, School of Engineering and Sciences, Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Mechanical Engineer graduated from the UANL, with Master of Science with a specialty in Design from the ITESM. Previously he coordinated the Nuevo León 4.0 Citizen Initiative and managed the Innovation Process at Metalsa, a leading company in the Design and Manufacture of structural components for light vehicles and commercial trucks. 

Elisa V. Vázquez Lepe

Research Professor, Center for Innovation in Design and Technology, School of Engineering and Sciences, Tecnológico de Monterrey.

PHD in Technology from the University of Girona in Spain. Master of Science with a Specialty in Manufacturing Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey and Industrial and Systems Engineering from the same institution. She is currently a Research Professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences, Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is a member of the National System of Researchers level I. Her research lines include: advanced manufacturing, micro-manufacturing and micro-part molding. Participate in a new educational model of teaching linked to the training partner SISAMEX developing projects related to Industry 4.0. 

Mario Vidaña

Senior Commercial Specialist, US Commercial Service at the American Consulate in Monterrey.

Electrical engineering degree from FIME-UANL and a Master’s in International Business from Universidad Regiomontana. Market analyst, focused on procurement and supply chains for industry in general, specializing in electrical and electronic assembly sectors, metal and plastic manufacturing, mining, machinery, tools and equipment manufacturing, alternative energy sources, construction, and petrochemicals. His work is a key component in the search and selection of suppliers for Mexican companies and for the promotion of U.S. exports to the Mexican market. 

Patricia del Carmen Zambrano Robledo

Researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon. National Researcher Level 2.

Professionally, she has worked for more than 23 years in academy and research in the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, where she obtained her degree in Mechanical Engineering Administration in 1992. In 1996 she obtained her Master’s degree in Sciences of Mechanical Engineering with Specialty in Materials, and in 2000 her doctorate in Material Engineering at the same university. She is recognized as a leader in Industrial Outreach, having directed more than 40 research projects with companies such as Metalsa, Viakable, Frisa, Sisamex, MD Helicopters, Prolec, Arvin Meritor, Magnapower, and organizations such as the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo Leon and the Aerospace Cluster. Her lines of research are focused on two main subjects: Manufacturing Processes of Metallic Alloys (mainly machining, soldering and shaping) and Electrochemical Corrosion.
