Obtuvo el grado de Ingeniero Electrónico y de Maestro en Ciencias en Ingeniería Eléctrica con especialidad en Robótica del Instituto Tecnológico de La Laguna, Torreón Coahuila México. Obtuvo el Doctorado en Ciencias en Control de Sistemas de la Universidad Tecnológica de Compiègne, Francia, en 2009. De enero de 2010 a diciembre de 2011, realizó un postdoctorado CNRS en el Laboratorio Franco-Mexicano de Informática y Automática (LAFMIA UMI 3175 CNRS-CINVESTAV) ciudad de México. Desde enero de 2013 trabaja como Profesor de Tiempo Completo en la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Sus intereses de investigación son el guiado, navegación y control de drones, sistemas aéreos no tripulados, dinámica de vuelo, robótica, y teoría de control.
